How grants work
Know what to expect before you apply.
Who can apply
Open to founders building real businesses in Africa. No registration required for Springboard. Builder and Bridge ask for basic business details. One active grant at a time.
The application
One short application, about 10 minutes. Tell us what you do, what you need, and what the money will do for the business. Have your details ready; nothing is saved until you submit.
Who reads it
A standing panel of founders and business operators reads every application against published criteria.
The decision
We come back with a yes, a not yet, or a pointer to something that fits better, always with the reason. Shortlisted founders may be asked for a short pitch.
Timing
We do not publish a decision date. A person reads every application, and you get an answer either way.
After the award
Grants are non-repayable. We may follow up to see what you built. Deploy the funds for what you applied for, and keep us posted.
