Who we are
The KYROS website is operated by KYROS SME, which we call "we" in this notice. You can reach us at support@kyrosme.com or on +234 707 100 3332.
The website carries the attribution "Powered by Pecan Bank". This notice does not describe any sharing of your information with Pecan Bank, and we will say so here if that ever changes.
What we collect
We only receive what you type into a form or into the Felix chat, plus the ordinary technical records every website produces.
- Visiting the website: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, the pages requested, the time and your browser type. We do not run analytics or advertising tools on the website.
- Contact form: your name, email address, topic and message.
- Community registration: your name, email address, country, city or town, region, gender and, if you give it, a phone number.
- Grant application: your name, email address, phone number, country, city or town, region, gender, age range, your business name, sector, how long you have been trading, whether it is registered, a short summary of the business, the grant you are applying for, how you would use the funds and any milestone you describe.
- Mentorship application: your name, email address, age, phone number, gender, education and course of study, country and region, an optional LinkedIn address, your chosen track, your answers about equipment, internet, availability, camera use, work and how you heard about KYROS, and your four written answers.
- Mentor application: your name, email address, current role, company, sector, how much time you can give, an optional LinkedIn or website address and a description of your experience.
- Internship application: your name, email address, phone number, country, the area you are interested in, your availability, a link to your portfolio, LinkedIn or CV, and your reasons for applying.
- Felix: the messages you type to Felix. Please do not put passwords, card or bank details, identity numbers or other sensitive information into any form or into Felix.
How we use it
- To reply to you and to run the request you made: a message, a registration, an application.
- To read and assess applications and tell you what happens next. Applying does not confirm a grant, a mentorship place or an internship; that is confirmed to you separately.
- If you are accepted into a programme, to run it: for example to contact you and to arrange sessions.
- To keep the website working and safe, including limiting repeated or automated submissions.
- To meet legal obligations where they apply.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. Felix cannot approve, reject or rank an application.
Where it is processed
Our hosting, email, database and AI providers are international companies, so your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including outside Nigeria and Africa.
How long we keep it
We keep application and enquiry records for as long as we need them to run the programme, answer follow-up questions and meet legal or audit requirements. We have not yet set a fixed period for each type of record. When we do, we will state the periods here. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Felix keeps your conversation only in your own browser, for the current visit, and it is cleared when you close the tab.
Keeping it safe
The website is served over an encrypted connection. Access to stored applications is limited to authorised members of the KYROS team. No system is perfectly secure, so please send only what a form asks for.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for a purpose. Under data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you have rights over your personal information. Write to support@kyrosme.com and tell us which form you used and the email address you gave. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this notice
If we change what the website collects or who handles it, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
